Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 July 2026
Mnemor is an iPhone app that brings the few things needing your attention — from email, chat, calendar, code hosting, reminders and health — into one ranked list you can act on. This policy explains exactly what it accesses, what stays on your device, what leaves it, and how to get rid of it all.
The short version. Mnemor has no user accounts and no backend database. Your messages, documents, notes and credentials are stored on your device, not on our servers. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and no data is used to train AI models. Photos and documents are read entirely on-device and are never sent to any AI model.
1. Who we are
Mnemor is operated by the developer of the Mnemor iOS app ("Mnemor", "we", "us"). Contact us any time via @saysereze on X or through the support page.
2. What Mnemor stores, and where
Nearly everything stays on your iPhone, in the app's private storage, encrypted by iOS and protected with complete file protection (unreadable while the device is locked):
- The items in your list, and their titles, senders and previews
- Meeting transcripts, summaries and action items
- Commitments detected from your own words
- Contacts you scan at events, and notes you write about people
- Receipts detected from your photo library, and travel documents you add to the wallet
- Your settings, priorities and role
Credentials — the access tokens for every service you connect, plus any API key you supply — are stored only in the iOS Keychain, marked device-only, so they are never included in an iCloud or iTunes backup and never appear in a data export.
We operate one small server ("kriva"). It performs two jobs: it hands the app an AI provider key, and it completes the OAuth handshake for services whose client secret cannot safely live inside an app. It does not store your messages, your content, or your account data, and it keeps no database of users. Request logs never contain message bodies.
3. Services you can connect
Every connector is optional and off until you turn it on. You can disconnect any of them at any time, which deletes its credential and removes its items from the app.
| Service | What Mnemor accesses | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Gmail & Calendar) | Unread message headers, senders, subjects and snippets; sending replies; archiving and marking read; calendar events and RSVP responses; your email address | To surface who is waiting on you, let you reply and clear mail in-app, and show and answer calendar invitations |
| Microsoft (Outlook) | Unread mail metadata and previews, sending replies, calendar events and RSVP | Same as above, for Microsoft 365 accounts |
| Slack | Unread direct messages and mentions, recent thread messages, sender names, posting replies and reactions | To show the DMs you owe a reply and let you answer them in-app |
| GitHub | Pull requests and issues assigned to or authored by you, review requests, and posting reviews or comments | To surface reviews blocking others and let you approve from your phone |
| Apple Calendar & Reminders | Events and reminders on your device | To rank what is due today; read entirely on-device |
| Apple Health | Recent sleep and activity summaries | To time suggestions around your day; read on-device and never transmitted |
| Photos | Recent photos, read on-device only | To detect receipts and event badges with Apple's on-device text recognition. Images never leave the device and are never sent to an AI model |
| Microphone & Speech | Audio you explicitly record or dictate | Transcribed on-device by Apple's speech recogniser. Audio is never uploaded |
| MCP servers | Whatever the server you configure exposes | Optional; you choose the endpoint, and requests go directly from your device to it |
4. Google user data — Limited Use
Mnemor's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, for data obtained through Google APIs:
- It is used only to provide and improve the user-facing features described above.
- It is not transferred to others except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice.
- It is not used for advertising, and it is not sold.
- It is not used to develop, improve or train generalised AI or machine learning models. Where message text is sent to an AI provider to draft a reply or summarise a thread, that provider acts solely as a processor on your behalf and is contractually barred from training on it.
- No humans read your Google user data, except with your explicit consent for a specific support issue, where required by law, or on aggregated anonymised data for security purposes.
5. Artificial intelligence
Mnemor uses AI to rank items, draft replies, summarise threads and produce meeting notes. It prefers Apple's on-device model where the device supports it, in which case nothing leaves your phone. Otherwise, the relevant text — a message snippet, a thread excerpt, a transcript — is sent to an AI provider (Anthropic by default; OpenAI if configured) to produce the result.
- Images are never sent to any AI model. There is no image input path in the app. Receipts, badges and travel documents are read using on-device text recognition only.
- Providers do not train on your data. They process it to return a result and do not use it to train models.
- Every request is logged for you. The in-app Activity Log records the time, the destination (on-device or which provider) and the approximate size of each request — never the content.
- You can switch the cloud off. Turning on "On-device AI only" in Privacy & Security prevents any request from leaving the device; features that need the cloud simply stand down.
- You can use your own key. Supply your own Anthropic API key and Mnemor calls Anthropic directly with it. The key is held in your Keychain and never sent to our server.
6. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not show advertising, and we do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites, and the app contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
- We do not create user accounts or profiles on our servers.
7. Cookies and this website
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics, and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers. That is why you are not being asked to accept anything. Our web host records standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page) for security and reliability; these are not used to profile you and are not shared.
The iOS app does not use web cookies, an advertising identifier, or any cross-app tracking. It contains no analytics or advertising SDKs.
8. Your controls
- Disconnect any source at any time in Settings → Sources.
- Export everything the app holds as a single JSON file (Privacy & Security → Export my data). Credentials are deliberately excluded.
- Erase everything on the device instantly — tokens, keys, cached items, receipts, contacts, meeting notes, settings (Privacy & Security → Erase all Mnemor data).
- Lock the app behind Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode, with auto-lock.
- Revoke Mnemor's access from the provider's own side at any time — for Google, via Google Account permissions.
Because we hold no copy of your content, deleting the app (or using Erase all Mnemor data) removes it. If you believe we hold data about you and want it removed, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Retention
On-device data is kept until you delete it, clear it, or remove the app. Some caches expire on their own — completed items after about three days, the activity log at roughly the last 300 entries. Our server retains no user content; operational logs contain no message bodies.
10. Payments
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. Mnemor never sees or stores your payment details. We receive only Apple's confirmation of whether an active subscription exists on your device.
11. Children
Mnemor is a workplace productivity tool intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Mnemor is designed so you can exercise these yourself, directly in the app, without asking us. For anything the in-app tools do not cover, contact us.
13. Changes
We will update this page if our practices change, and revise the date at the top. Material changes affecting how your data is used will also be surfaced in the app.
